HOUSE - LATE AFTERNOON<br \/>\n<\/b><b><br \/>\n<\/b>          WALTER VALE, sixty-two, is standing by the window of his<br \/>\nmodestly furnished Colonial house. He is holding a glass of<br \/>\nwine and peering out through the drapes.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b>          After a few moments an OLD CAR pulls up. A slightly<br \/>\noverweight WOMAN gets out of the car. She starts to walk up<br \/>\nto the house.<br \/>\n<b><br \/>\n<\/b>          Walter steps back from the window and waits. The doorbell<br \/>\nrings. Walter takes a last sip of wine and sets the glass<br \/>\ndown on the end table.
