MARFA, TEXAS - 1993 - WIDE - DAY<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\nThe Texas plains, horizon to horizon, nothing but the browns<br \/>\nand ochres of earth and the blue and violet of the sky.  The<br \/>\nsheer scope of it sinks in:  the blank slate of nature, the<br \/>\nabsence of man.  On the screen superimpose:<\/p>\n<p><b>                    MARFA, TEXAS, 1993.<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\n<b>CREDITS BEGIN.<br \/>\n<\/b><br \/>\nA plume of dust comes into frame.  The dust is from a TRUCK,<br \/>\norange and white and violet, with \"FedEx\" blazoned across the<br \/>\nside.<\/p>\n<p>The truck turns into a collection of ramshackle World War II<br \/>\nera Quonset huts and outbuildings.  Around the outbuildings<br \/>\nare large sculptures of wood and metal.<\/p>\n<p><b>EXT.
